Touring > Louder

The Louder Contemporary Music Program provides funding to support organisations to extend their existing original contemporary music program to other regions in Western Australia.

Apply for up to $20,000 to cover the cost of professional fees, travel, accommodation, marketing and administration.

Louder aims to support live original contemporary music by:

  • Developing regional audiences.
  • Developing the skills of regional musicians
  • Developing an effective regional WA touring circuit
  • Ensuring regional people have access to professional performances
  • Encouraging and supporting contemporary music organisations in coordinating regional activity.

 Previous recipients of Louder funding include JazzWA, Nova Ensemble, KULCHA and Fairbridge Music Program.

The Louder program is supported by the Department of Culture and the Arts.

LOUDER guidelines         

Country Arts WA is currently inviting organisations to put forward a project concept to be considered for the 2010 round, for projects occurring between May 2010 and April 2011.

Organisations may apply for a maximum $20,000. Please read through the Guidelines above to ensure your organisation is eligible to apply.

Applications close on Friday, 5 March 2010.

All potential applicants to LOUDER must attend a concept meeting with Katie Harford, Manager - Performing Arts Touring, and Simon O'Leary, Performing Arts Touring Officer, to discuss their project concept. Concept meetings will be held between 1 and 5 February 2010 at the Country Arts WA office or via teleconference.
