Country Arts WA is an independent not-for-profit organisation that ensures regional communities are able to use culture and the arts as part of their community"s development and celebrations.

For Communities

Sand Tracks

Sand Tracks is Country Arts WA's remote Indigenous contemporary music touring initiative.

A pilot tour was delivered to the NG Lands and Kalgoorlie in 2009 and in 2010, Sand Tracks will head across state borders touring a profile Aboriginal band or artist accompanied by an emerging band or artist from the central desert region.

Selection of the bands will happen in a similar way to the Shows on the Go process. Communities will vote for the bands that they would most like to see.

For more information about Sand Tracks contact Simon O'Leary on regional WA freecall 1800 811 883, 08 9200 6204 or soleary@countryartswa.asn.au

Sand Tracks is made possible through support from the Department of Culture the Arts, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Office for the Arts. and new partners Country Arts SA and the Music Board of the Australia Council.
