Country Arts WA is an independent not-for-profit organisation that ensures regional communities are able to use culture and the arts as part of their community"s development and celebrations.

For Communities

Bringing Performing Arts to Your Community > Touring to Schools

Country Arts WA works with some of WA's premier theatre companies to ensure that regional WA schools have access to professional performing arts activities. These companies include: Barking Gecko Theatre Company, Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, Yirra Yaakin Aboriginal Corporation and Buzz Dance Theatre.

Each of the four companies takes one of their productions on the road to a number of schools in regional WA. The coordination of the program aims to ensure that each company travels to each region periodically.

See the flyer for the shows touring in 2009 here

If you would like to see one of our schools touring companies visit your school, you can contact Country Arts WA or speak directly to the companies below.

The Regional Schools touring program is funded by the Department of Culture and the Arts. Healthway contributes to the tours travelling to the Pilbara and Kimberley to ensure that schools in more remote parts of the state don't miss out due to distance!
