Ros Bower Award

This annual award is being offered through the Community Partnerships section and the Ros Bower Memorial Trust, to an arts worker or artist with a proven record of high achievement in the field of community arts and cultural development. It aims to recognise distinguished effort in fostering and furthering the philosophies and principles espoused by Rosalie Bower, founding director of the Community Arts Board.

The Amount of the award is $50000.

Nominations will be accepted from organisations and individuals. This Award is open only to individual artists and arts workers, who must be nominated by other people. Artists or arts workers may not nominate themselves.

Kirk Robson Awards

This award is opened to artists and arts workers aged 30 and under.

The Kirk Robson Awards recognise the outstanding leadership in community arts and cultural development, particularly in the areas of reconciliation and social justice, demonstrated by the young artist, who died in 2005.
The awards acknowledge that true leadership is based on the values of inclusiveness, consensus, and self determination.

The purpose of the Kirk Robson Awards is to recognise, promote and encourage leadership among young community arts and cultural development artists and arts workers in Australia.
The awards recognise past achievements and nominees are not required to provide a program of activity.

The amount of the Award is $10000

The Prime Minister's Literary Awards

The Prime Minister's Literary Awards recognise the importance of literature to our national identity, community and economy.

In 2012, awards will be presented for excellence in fiction, non-fiction, young adult fiction, children's fiction, poetry and Australian history. $100 000 will be awarded in each category-$80 000 for the winning entry and $5000 each for a maximum of four shortlisted entries.

Entries close at 5pm AEDT on Wednesday 1 February 2012

Mandorla Art Award 2012

Applications for the Mandorla Art Award 2012 are now open. Australia's most significant thematic Christian contemporary art prize has a total prize pool of $42,000. Artists are invited to enter in one of two categories: the Mandorla Art Award 2012 open to all artists 18 years and over and the Mandorla Youth Art Award open to all artists aged 16 to 25 years. Both are acquisitive.

Download an entry form and return it before 6pm, 1 June 2012. Please read the Terms and Conditions  carefully before submitting.

Finalists will be announced on 15 June 2012 with the announcement of winners and the exhibition opening on 10 August.
