Country Arts WA is an independent not-for-profit organisation that ensures regional communities are able to use culture and the arts as part of their community"s development and celebrations.

For Young People

Out There

Out There is a youth arts development program which helps regional communities develop the skills and confidence of young people through the arts. The Regional Youth Arts Development Officer (RYADO) from Country Arts WA works alongside a community for a period of time in the creation of an arts project which is driven by local young people and community members.

Which communities?

Since 2003 Out There has helped communities develop great youth arts projects in Northam, Port Hedland, Busselton, Manjimup, Morawa, Yiyili and Mullewa. Read about the Out There arts projects in those towns and see some photos here

The Regional Youth Arts Development Officer (RYADO) and professional artists will be working in the Gascoyne region (Country Arts WA focus region) for the next three years. Gascoyne communities will be asked to submit an Expression of Interest to host the Out There regional youth arts development program in July 2010.

Contact RYADO Wendy Stewart at ryado@countryartswa.asn.au or regional free call 1800 811 883 for more information.
