Country Arts WA works with all nine regions to ensure arts and culture is woven into the fabric of life in every regional community in Western Australia.
Recognised as a lead organisation, Country Arts WA is the peak body for regional arts and is an independent, not-for-profit, membership based organisation. We are the only arts organisation in WA with a state-wide arts and cultural brief.
The role of Country Arts WA is to build creativity, capacity and connection in and between regional communities to further develop Western Australia’s regional arts sector.
Shows on the Go takes incredible shows around regional WA - communities vote on which shows they want and we respond to their requests. This kind of awesome partnership with regional WA is what we'd love to keep growing and improving on. 🎁 You can help us do that this Christmas by giving to regional arts and culture --> http://bit.ly/2zMtYy7

It takes all types to keep the local arts scene vibrant! The lovely folks over at Pollinators - CityHive and The Comedy Emporium - Geraldton could use plumbers and sparkies to help them set up some new amenities, know anyone who might be able to help out? Can't wait to see what comes out of this space!

You just have to take a look at this fantastic little documentary the Rural Room put together about how the #RAPPNetwork is spreading dance across regional WA. So much hard work in here from Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council and everyone involved in the "May We Have This Dance?" project!

Today we just changed over the little blue button on our page to "Donate" - and we'd like to tell you why that's important. You can support regional arts here --> http://bit.ly/2zMtYy7 We believe arts make life great, and this year you can help to cultivate and strengthen arts and cultural programs all the way from the Kimberley to the Great Southern and everywhere in between. Giving to Country Arts WA means you're supporting regional arts and culture, contributing to programs that reach out and respond to the needs expressed by regional people. 🎁 This Christmas please consider giving a gift to all of regional WA, and give to arts and culture. 🎁 📷 Anton Blume / Gascoyne in May

Ravensthorpe needs an incredible resident dancer. It's a big ask, you'll be teaching around 20 dance classes a week - to people who might just be experiencing dance for the first time - but you will be piloting the awesome #RAPPnetwork project that will saturate regional WA in dance. If you know a special, talented person who can take on this incredible opportunity, please tag them!

WAM is running a Culture Counts survey to examine gender representation in the music industry - if you're a muso consider taking 10 minutes to fill it out, or if you've got muso mates, maybe tell them. Every bit of research gives us a better idea of how to improve the arts for everyone! 🎉👩🎨🎶

🐛🐞 Squisher and Squasher 🐞🐛 just finished up, and we had a bit of a think about what made the show work so well in regional communities - key takeaway: Community Engagement! What does you community love jumping onboard for?
