Over 60 people from the #Northcliffe and #WindyHarbour communities have had their faces, torsos and bodies cast in #plaster in commemoration of the 2015 #bushfire for the Rising from the Ashes project. Filled with a mixture of charcoal and glue, the reliefs from the moulds are appearing on burnt trees and stumps along the #Understory Art & Nature Trail in Northcliffe. Its bringing a special joy to the local #community as they discover their doppelgangers emerging from the #forest. Southern Forest Arts received funding from Country Arts WA through the Regional Arts Legacy Grants to put together this very personal community project.
