Make your Mark | Bunbury
Mental Health Week Launch and Exhibition.
This is a week long event! Monday 8th – Sunday 14th October
Pathways South West has created an art exhibition for Mental Health Week “Make Your Mark” to open up peoples perception of art, whether you identify as someone with a mental health issue or disability, just make your mark. All it takes is one brush stroke, a pencil drawing, photograph or sculpture.
Don’t over think what you create, there is no restrictions or specifications of what art is, there is no such thing as a mistake, it is you as a person making your mark for Mental Health Week. Its all about community participation and reengaging with others using art to cross boundaries.
The exhibition is open to everyone, art submissions and entry is free. The exhibition is held at BRAG (Bunbury Regional Art Gallery).
There are various ways to participate and artist facilitated classes are being run at Enable WA, Pathways Southwest and Bunbury Regional Art Gallery. Contact these organisations for class availability. However it is not necessary to participate in these art classes, you can submit your own art done where ever you create it.
The exhibition opening is Monday 8th of October, which is free to attend. There will be prizes for artworks and we are seeking businesses to contribute for the show.
